Janice H. Kim MD MPH
Born at what is now California Pacific Medical Center (California Campus), Dr. Kim is a native San Franciscan who feels fortunate to have been raised in this multicultural city. She's enjoyed seasons in New England during undergraduate years and pursuing a masters in public health, focusing on Family and Community Health and Maternal and Child Health. Throughout the last decade, she's traveled throughout California for training including medical school in San Diego and pediatrics residency in Los Angeles. She has experience working in private practice, primary care underservedclinics, and hospital-based nurseries.
Clinically, Dr. Kim has special interests in newborn care, healthy lifestyles/obesity prevention, behavioral health, foster/adoption care, and promoting resilience in parents and children. As a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), she actively promotes pediatricians in creating partnerships within their communities through the CATCH program (Community Access to Child Health) and the local AAP continuing education and advocacy committees.
When not working, she enjoys spending time on the Bay with the San Francisco Outrigger Canoe Club and exploring new produce at farmers' markets.
