Dr. Goodyear was born and raised in Santa Rosa and is a fifth generation Californian. She attended UC Davis for her undergraduate education, where she received her BA in Comparative Literature with German emphasis as well as completing her pre-med requirements. During that time, she was also a member of the UC Davis Equestrian Team. She continued at UC Davis for her medical school education and was a founding member of MedICOS, an intercultural exchange program for medical students in Nicaragua. Her senior year she was admitted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. After medical school, she completed her internship and residency at the University of Colorado. While there, she enjoyed the opportunity to again experience another culture and learn about medicine outside of the US by completing a month abroad in Peru. Following the completion of residency, she worked in a pediatric practice near Denver. She and her family moved back to the Bay Area in the Spring of 2014. In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her husband and two young sons.
